Our History
A family business shaped by hard work, long hours, and a deep connection to transport in regional Victoria.
Scrivens Transport was originally started in Tatura before moving to Mooroopna, where it went on to support the Shepparton area with a strong fleet handling both interstate and local runs. It became a large operation, with Don Scrivens and his sons driving the fleet while Barbara Scrivens managed the books and freight from behind the scenes.
Donald Huia Scrivens of Mooroopna passed away suddenly at home on Thursday, July 11, 2002, aged 66 years. He was the dearly loved husband of Barbara and beloved father of Grant, Dean, and Scott. After Don's passing, Scrivens Transport ceased business for a period before his son Scott Scrivens restarted the company in early 2015 with the help and support of Barbara Scrivens and Scott's son Joseph Scrivens.
Barbara Jean Scrivens passed away on 28 January 2026, aged 88 years, leaving behind a legacy that continues through her sons and grandsons. Today, the Scrivens name carries forward more than 50 years of transport history and a belief that trucking truly is in the blood.
